Centerless – Tungsten Carbide Rod Infeed Grinding Solution

The feature of tungsten carbide is high hardness and wear resistance. It's high conductivity of heat leads to high temperatures and vibration issues during the grinding process that making grinding operations full of challenging.

In this case, we use JHC-2416T-CNC7 centerless equipped with an automated gantry loading / unloading device provides customers with an efficient, precise, and sustainable solution for grinding tungsten carbide rods.

The JHC-2416T-CNC7 centerless machine is equipped with a 405mm width grinding wheel which is capable of heavy grinding. The CNC program controls feeding, dressing, and compensation. There’s no need to adjust the loading / unloading device when the grinding & regulating wheels wearing.

The tungsten carbide rod is held and proceeds reciprocating grinding by the gantry device. This approach not only avoids radial and axial run-out, keep grinding stability, but also improves grinding efficiency, reduces production costs and minimizes operational risks.
